I bought this palette during a cyber Monday sale aaaaand opted for the faster shipping like a total nut.
The palette arrives, and it’s super meticulously packaged in bubble wrap and foam (barf). I rip everything off and open up the palette. I’m in awe of the colours, but intimidated. They are SO pigmented. SO so pigmented.
I open the palette and stare at the colours several times over the course of the last few days that I’ve had it. I wasn’t adventurous my first go around with it the other night when I went out, and just used a neutral metallic shade. I swatched colours after I got home and felt a little more confident about what looks I can create minus a cut crease (I’m boring, so sue me). I did find an Instagrammer that had some neat looks that didn’t have a cut crease:
I could do that!
How beautiful is this palette?
Maybe the lack of transition shades freaks me out a bit. Maybe I should try a couple of monochromatic looks. Thoughts?
I’m calling this post a “first impression” since I’ll likely be back with my own images of cut-crease-less looks with this palette.
ALSO, has anyone else seen the meme about how we’ve never gone from day to night looks? I kept thinking about what a strange thing it is to market the “Day to night” look. We’ve been doing it for decades, but how many of us actually live such busy urban metropolis “go from the office for drinks without hitting home base, but oh, I have my eyeshadow palette with me” lives that we go from day to night make-up? Am I alone on my own island with this one?
Those swatches are gorgeous ๐๐

This is such a pretty palette . I think this along with the new mini violets will be in my next haul . And yeah the whole going from day to night is something I donโt do either lol . I live in a busy city even and Iโm still like nope I will just wear what I applied before I left the house ๐
